Việt Nam học là ngành khoa học nghiên cứu toàn diện về đất nước và con người Việt Nam. Bên cạnh đào tạo chuyên sâu về ngôn ngữ tiếng Việt, ngành Việt Nam học còn nghiên cứu các lĩnh vực quan trọng của đất nước gồm địa lý, lịch sử, văn học, chính trị, kinh tế-xã hội, văn hoá và phong tục tập quán của Việt Nam.
Vietnamese Studies is an academic discipline that offers a comprehensive exploration of Vietnam’s land and people. In addition to intensive training in the Vietnamese language, the program delves into major fields such as geography, history, literature, politics, socio-economics, culture, and customs of Vietnam.
Các sinh viên tốt nghiệp Việt Nam học không chỉ tinh thông ngôn ngữ mà còn am tường các kiến thức về các lĩnh vực chính trị, văn hoá – xã hội, du lịch và kinh tế của Việt Nam. Với kiến thức liên ngành, chương trình đào tạo chú trọng đào tạo sinh viên trở thành các chuyên gia tư vấn về các vấn đề của Việt Nam cho các nhà đầu tư nước ngoài tại Việt Nam, giảng dạy tiếng Việt như một ngoại ngữ cho người nước ngoài, làm việc cho các tổ chức văn hóa, giáo dục, du lịch và nhiều lĩnh vực khác nhau.
Graduates of the Vietnamese Studies program are not only proficient in the Vietnamese language but also possess a profound understanding of Vietnam’s political, cultural, social, tourism, and economic sectors. With interdisciplinary knowledge, the program aims to equip students to become professional consultants on Vietnamese issues for foreign investors, Vietnamese language instructors for international learners, and professionals working in cultural, educational, and tourism organizations, among other fields.
